Speed Me Home

Lord speed me home
Beyond the moon’s broad
Spinning monolith
And stars unnumbered in
Their open closets,
Spilling sad musician’s
Secrets as they trail—
I see Jupiter’s horizon,
And the Solar System’s end—
Speed me homeward to Messiah’s
Silent concourse, where the mad
And milky smoke of this
Grand tragedy expires—
Speed me soul-first into
Darkness—away, away,

Thanks for checking out my poem.

Did I tell you I wrote a novel? You can read it here for free, or get it for your e-reader on iBooks, Amazon or Kobo. Or you can just say you read the book, and donate five bucks down below. Go on.
