Caligula, Boy Caesar

Caligula,
sun god,
dead god,
alien, crybaby,
sad king,
boy caesar,
in echoing
excess of quiet
please be sordino,
blank paper,
muffled, moon-
shining madness,
endless celestial
trip, black glass
waters once
too far to tread,
please be quiet
and wondering
always, please
show others
your rubble,
once tall, and
unwritten obituary;
apple red cheeks,
be still and harmless,
wandering boy king,
I wish you
luck out there
alone;
sad spent glory,
small gladness,
hell’s depth,
horse’s march,
scattering soul.
