Notes to Delilah

Delilah:

snow makes old things new
forget what happened to the horses
loneliness is found in open places
get strong while the water’s fallow
bless the land you live on
tread through the fire, don’t run
a million seeds will grow a dozen trees
take the time to be inert
pottery doesn’t age
make music with your mind
they didn’t hate it, they felt challenged
the perilous wood forges a sound mind
the play is scripted like that
he’ll get ‘em in the end

Thanks for checking out my poem.

Did I tell you I wrote a novel? You can read it here for free, or get it for your e-reader on iBooks, Amazon or Kobo. Or you can just say you read the book, and donate five bucks down below. Go on.
